“Homebound” by Leonard Suryajaya

In the spring of 2023, we had the honor of working with Leonard Suryajaya to develop “Homebound”, a public land art installation formerly located at the northern end of the Grant Park waterfront trail. This was one of 12 pieces supported by E(art)th Chicago group, who facilitated the installation of many different pieces throughout many of Chicago's neighborhoods. 

The structure was fabricated from CNC routed aluminum sheets which were later photographically produced in collaboration with Sunrise Hitek. Special thanks to ChiLab collaborator Devon Bonstein, and to Terry Karpowicz for managing installation on site.
