KNOLL Showroom Marquee Screen

Over the past 10 years- Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood has been the subject of one of the city's quickest development movements. Former meat packing warehouses transformed to be a unique vessel for the new business. In the heart of the district sits what was once was the Knoll showroom (Now Miller-Knoll offices after the 2021 merger between Herman Miller and Knoll). We were honored with the opportunity to create at such a large scale in collaboration with leading force in the design industry. The center piece marquee was installed in 2019, standing two stories tall. The chrome tubes were transported across the city-needing to be craned into the warehouse’s 6th floor. “Knoll” was spelled out in bronze piping mounted around the chrome tubing. Every piece of this custom installation from sourcing and crafting, to finishing and installation was completed in house here at Chi Lab Studio.
